Have you ever made rhubarb simple syrup? You
simply must. It's very easy to make and adds a wonderful flavor to cocktails. Plus, that color! We like to mix it with vodka, limeade, a couple ice cubes and a lime wedge. Another perfect summer cocktail.
Rhubarb Simple Syrup
- two cups chopped rhubarb
- one cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
Combine ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer until rhubarb is soft (20 minutes or so). Pour the contents into a fine strainer, mashing the rhubarb until no liquid remains. Let cool and then drink up!
i've never tried this but i'm now putting it on my list o' things to try! thank you.
