...she awoke early.
a frigid day outside.
freshly brewed coffee.
watching the squirrels chase each other through the trees.
a flat of blueberries. steel cut oats.
yawn and stretch. another sip of coffee.
the scent of brown sugar melting into the oats.
slippers.
ready for the day.

Cornbread and tortilla soup.

Saturday afternoon was spent getting our apartment in order (We have plants! And something finally hung on the wall!) while chicken stock simmered on the stove. I then made my favorite soup - my very own tortilla recipe with the chicken stock, homemade tortilla strips and buttermilk cornbread.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Somehow we have to combine our film stashes into one (non full sized) fridge. We propose The Impossible Project should design mini fridges shaped like various types of Polaroid film. We'd buy one - or two.

Almost there.

Today was filled with dark skies, packing induced stress and an 8:30 a.m. delivery to Goodwill. But this time next week, the forecast calls for sunny weather, as we spend our first night unpacking in our new home.
